INTRODUCING THE ZEBRA PROJECT

Started in 2018, The Zebra Project advocates for better business through a community that supports leaders in looking up and out in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Societal and economic priorities are shifting faster than ever and these changes are having a profound effect on business, the concept of work and the way in which we define success.

“This isn’t the time to be lazy, to be reserved, to be complicit, to be quiet."

"We’re living in a time when it’s so important for business to drive this new economy, this new view, this aspirational future of business as a force for good.”

Rose Marcario, Patagonia

In order to be sustainable into the long term, a company’s primary goal must be to be profitable, but it is becoming increasingly clear that a conscious and inclusive approach to capitalism can enable organisations to use their position of power and resource to improve the world and, rather than simply being profit-driven, measure success through progress against purpose, sustainable value and positive societal impact.

This spotlight on the role of business within society will continue to shine as people increasingly look to businesses to provide solutions where governments are slow to act. An exciting opportunity is arising for ‘good’ businesses to take their place in helping fix the problems we have collectively created within the economy, society and the planet, as well as in addressing the inequalities that have historically arisen from the dominant economic models of the world.

Working collectively and collaboratively we can make a difference.

The Taylor Vinters’ Zebra Project brings together a cultivated cohort of business leaders, creative thinkers, academics and visionaries to explore the opportunities from this reinvention of business philosophy and psychology.

Through an inclusive and proactive platform, The Project aims to help inform the future Board agenda and use community to collectively design better businesses, where success is defined by sustainable value and positive societal impact and long term impact for a wide range of stakeholders is prioritised over short term gains for shareholders. Importantly The Project is dogma-free, representing a broad church, and its role is simply to raise questions, challenge assumptions and share perspectives to fuel thought.
