Fionnuala Horrocks-Burns leads the British Retail Consortium’s (BRC) employment and skills policy work, ensuring the interests of the retail industry are represented effectively to government.

Fionnuala is currently coordinating the BRC’s workforce campaign, Retail 2020, designed to support the development of better jobs as the industry continues to transform in the face of social, financial and technological pressures. Fionnuala is also responsible for the workforce aspects of the BRC’s Brexit work including immigration and EU employment law.   

Before joining the BRC, Fionnuala was a senior policy adviser at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) where she worked across the employment brief covering employment law, immigration, industrial relations and EU social policy. Fionnuala holds a First Class Honours Degree in History from Trinity College, Dublin.
